JKS Llanbedr DC Karate is a non-profit organisation.

We are based nr Ruthin, Denbighshire, North Wales with dojo's in Llanbedr DC, Llanferres & Llanarmon-yn-ial.

We are full members of the Welsh Karate Governing Body (WKGB). This allows our members to compete in World Karate Federation (WKF) sanctioned events, such as British Karate Federation Championships, European Karate Federation Championships, Karate 1 Premier League and WKF World Championships.

We are also affiliated with Japan Shotorenmei Karate Federation based in Tokyo, Japan. Our strong ties with Japan provide exceptional opportunities for our members, from having our Dan grades registered in Japan to also having the opportunities for our members to enter Teikyo University and the World famous Honbu Dojo instructors' course.

We have been teaching the traditional Shotokan style of karate to youngsters and adults in the Denbighshire area for many years.

Our emphasis is on practical self-defense, though the techniques and exercises used also promote a high level of fitness and self-confidence.
